5 Reasons To Try New Soybean Seed Treatments

Farmer planting soybean seed treated with Warden® CX II seed treatment.
When it comes to getting the most out of your seed investment, every decision counts. Warden® CX II seed treatment and the new Ascend® ST3™ plant growth regulator offer powerful protection and growth benefits individually. But when combined, they can take your crops to the next level.

  1. A Convenient, High-Performing Pair
When you reduce yield-robbing threats while enhancing a plant’s physiological processes, the result is healthier, more productive plants. That’s the reason Ascend ST3 and Warden CX II make such an impactful pair when seed is treated with both. One plays defense, preventing insect and disease damage, while the other plays offense, helping to stimulate internal processes for faster growth and more efficient development.

Ascend ST3 Highlights

  1. Three Plant Growth Regulators
Ascend ST3 plant growth regulator contains three key plant growth regulators (PGR): auxin, gibberellic acid and cytokinin. We spent a lot of time and resources testing various ratios of these three PGRs, finally landing on the most optimal formulation, which you’ll find in Ascend ST3. Auxin is the dominant PGR of the three, which is a crucial hormone for early-season development and root growth.

  1. Faster, More Even Emergence
Auxin helps mitigate stress and build stronger, larger root systems, which leads to faster, more even emergence. The faster a seedling emerges, the less time it spends in its most vulnerable state and the faster it can get to canopy closure.

Warden CX II Highlights

  1. Four Powerful Fungicides
Vayantis® fungicide is a key ingredient in Warden CX II. It contains a novel active ingredient, picarbutrazox, and provides substantially better Pythium protection than older technologies to help combat all known U.S. Pythium species.

Vayantis alone is 100 to 1,000 times more active against known  Pythium species compared to other products on the market. The addition of mefanoxam provides more days of activity in the field and a double mode of action against Pythium and Phytophthora.

The disease protection doesn’t stop there. Sedaxane and fludioxonil are also included in the Warden CX II formula. This four-way fungicide package offers unprecedented control of the yield-robbing pests lurking in your soybean fields.

  1. Leading Insect Control
Diseases are only part of the battle seeds face in the soil. Warden CX II seed treatment also contains Cruiser® insecticide for excellent protection against an array of seed- and foliar-feeding insects. Cruiser insecticide provides broad-spectrum control of common destructive insects, including wire worm, seedcorn maggot, aphid and bean leaf beetle. An added benefit of Cruiser is its patented Cruiser Vigor Effect1, which helps promote faster emergence, increased plant stands, enhanced root systems and more overall vigorous growth.
